Tuhoe Ahurei

Tuhoe Ahurei the Biggest Event on the Tuhoe calender held bi-annually in Ruatoki at the Te Rewarewa Marae.

Always amazing, always huge, always a crowd drawer.

Revered right around the world, attended now for over thirty years by over a million people and still going strong. A million you say, pretty close to it don't you think.

Our hats off to those who organize and manage the event. BUT hey people............ they need your support no matter where on the globe you are. Support them here as well and pass comment, post picture's, post video's, post your say on the internet and share your story.

Kia Ora!

Gosh! The Tuhoe Ahurei (2005) just blew me away completely! Sad to see my brother was at the back of his group but all was good.

One thing I've just got to say: Never in my life have I ever come across Maori performance such as the Tuhoe Ahurei!

I'd rather go to those than the kapa haka festival itself, too plastic if you ask me.

Ka kite.

Ae, The Tuhoe Ahurei(2005) was my second experience both performing and being part of this amazing spectacle.

I will be looking forward to seeing all my mokopuna being part of this event in years to come.

Yes, well the Ahurei was ok! I believe it could have been a little better, as I have seen it better in the past, as for the number of people that have suppose to have attended wasn't as much as what was said in the paper, I think it was exaggerated big tym!! I would like to think that the next Ahurei will be held in Waimana, as both tyms that it was held there it was the bomb.
